I was a little nervous ordering from Root Since my skin is super sensitive and reacts to a lot of products, but everything went really smoothly. The product felt comfortable on my skin with no redness or itching at all. I’m really happy it worked out for me.

I ended up having to guess a few of the product details, which was fun in the way guessing what you’re buying always is. A little more clarity in the description would’ve been nice.

I gave Root A try because I’ve been wanting makeup that feels more ethical and cruelty-free!! I really appreciate that they’re open about not testing on animals, and the ingredients did seem simpler than a lot of the bigger brands I’ve used.
That said, I still wish there was more detail about where everything is sourced from and what their packaging choices are. The products were fine for me, just not something I was super wowed by. I’d give it 3 stars because I like the values, but I was hoping for a bit more info overall.

The new one showed up without any drama, so overall I’m really happy with how they handled it.

I did still like this overall, but I noticed my skin got a bit red after using it. It could just be my skin being sensitive, so I’m not totally sure, but it’s something I’d keep in mind if your face reacts easily too.
